Yumeji's Kawaii 012 (小鳥 Small bird）

小さく丸みを帯びたシルエットやつぶらな眼、羽の形状を生かして、繊細でやわらかな印象の小鳥を、夢二はカットやさまざまなシーンで描き出しました。

1羽だけではなく複数寄り添う姿や、時には木々や花と一緒に、小鳥は愛らしく描かれました。

大正時代のペット事情に眼を向けると、大正5年（1926）頃には家庭で小鳥を飼うことがブームとなり、文化生活に憧れる市民の趣味として広がりました。

He adorablely depicted not just one bird, but multiple birds huddled together, sometimes together with trees and flowers.

Looking at the situation with pets in the Taisho era, around 1926, keeping small birds at home became popular, and it spread as a hobby among citizens who aspired to a cultured life.
